And why's that? Got something against Squiers?I'd keep the autograph and throw the bass away

If you need something to give you a clue about who Brian really was/is, search out the track, "God Only Knows." One of the greatest songs ever and displays just about every element that made Brian the genius that he was...
I am sorry, but I can't believe the lack of knowledge of Brian Wilson and what he has meant to the history of music. It just does not get any bigger in American musical history than him. I know the Beach Boys are seen in some circles as surf music hacks who had studio musicians playing all the parts on record. But, you have to dig deeper. As someone else already said, all those complex vocal and orchestral arrangements were written by Brian when no one was doing anything like that. Paul McCartney has said on several occasions that without Pet Sounds, Sgt. Peppers never would have been anything like it is. The Beach Boys are not the Monkees. The Beach Boys were a legitimate band whose leader pushed the music to a point where the members of the band were unable to keep up in the studio so they used studio musicians. Lol yeah well I was born nearly 30 years after they got big. I saw them at a fair when I was like 5. I dont like The Beatles or Jaco either.
Ok, well I will born about 100 years after the Civil War, I still know more than a little about it. Buddy Holly was dead when I was born, I still know enough about him to discuss his place in music history. The point is, not knowing about history is not something of which you should be proud. Whomever it is that you do idolize, guess what, they did not start anything and you have to go back to the roots of rock and roll to figure it out...
Christ dude calm down, I don't like The Beach Boys end of story dont make it look like I am ignorant, I have listened to them enough to garner my own opinion . Personally I see them as the likes of a boy band. They were formed in 1961, One of my favorite bands is The Who who formed in 1964 so I am suppose to appreciate a band I don't like because they came 3 years earlier then a band I do like? The Beach Boys maybe this and that to some folks but there is a reason they reached the level they did and many bands like The Who totally reached other levels.
I am done with this thread. I think I should post a video of me removing the signature.
From what I saw doing a quick search, Brian Wilson had nothing to do with writing or recording "Kokomo". It doesn't even sound like a Beach Boys tune to me.On a Beach Boys note, Kokomo is probably my least favorite song of all time.
