Finally my Charvel Pro-Mod San Dimas PJ IV arrived. it is an incredible instrument, full of qualities and with a sound that is much more than powerful. There's not much to say, just look at the bass specs: Alder body, roasted maple neck and fingerboard, graphite neck reinforcement bars, abalone dots inlays, Luminlay side dots, compound radius 12" > 16", Graph Tech TUSQ nut, DiMarzios , active 3 band pre, HiMass bridge, neck rolled edges, crown polish frets, wheel truss rod adjust on heel, amazing finish and color. See the photos, it arrived just like that, ready to play for €800.00. Fender is making basses better than Fenders with another brand.

Honestly that's probably one of the best basses I've seen in a very long time. The choices they made are excellent for having an excellent instrument.

Me too. I've been seeing pictures of them around and they caught my eye for some reason. I'll definitely take one for a test ride if I get the chance.

I like that body color and finish. Seems like it should be a flexible sounding bass too. How would you describe the overall tonal character? Vintage with some active flair, modern flat response, aggressive or more on the polite, balanced side? I suppose the setup has an impact on this too.
