Impressions/Review: This bass is awesome, especially for the price! It's got that Jazz bass tone and growl in spades. Absolutely no complaints about the tone and comfort. It was setup perfect to my style right out of the box. Only needed a minor intonation tweak on the G string as it was a hair flat. Other than that it was ready to play right out of the box. Fit and finish is also very good, the only very minor complaint I can see is the nut slots were cut a little rough, but the nut is in spec and no playability issues, so when I change strings, I just need to take some fine sandpaper and clean it up a little. This one is definitely a keeper and I may even pick up it's Sunburst/Maple brother down the road.

Thanks for looking! Hope everyone has a safe & happy Holiday season!

OK sorry for the delay... quick backstory... I need another Jazz bass like another hole in my head, but as some of you know, I'm a sucker for a nice Jazz bass. I wanted to add a rear-routed, non-pickguard version to my arsenal. I also wanted a swamp ash body AND I wanted to dip my toes into the G&L pool, so I present, my new G&L JB-2...

Ha, forgot about those.
My next bass might be a G&L Jazz bass.

I had one and they should be at the top of everyone's cheap jazz bass list. They're really awesome. Congrats!

However... coming from Indonesia, they aren't like the USA G&Ls, but do have the flavor. Mine had a mis-aligned hole for the truss rod adjustment making it inaccessible, and it weighed a ton. If it weren't for that, I'd still have it. It played well and sounded great.

I love mine. Every Jazz bass bass I've had, I've managed to hurt myself on the knobs. These things with the more P like bodies are ideal for me. I love the sound, very comfortable, and incredible quality for the price.

Nice looking bass man. Have never had the chance to try out a G&L yet.
