Fantastic bass. Looks great. I have one on order right now.
How about the neck profile? I know that the width is 1.5" (Jazz spec), but does it have a slim or chunky profile?

I have never been any good regarding neck profiles. I would say it is a shallow U shaped, (or would that be C)? It fills your palm more than a 1.75 flatter neck does, (which is on an AVRI). It is a comfortable fit, a little bit chunky, but not to the extent that it is a conscious readjustment to play it. Does that make any sense?

I was gonna ask you some similar questions...
When did you order yours and when did it arrive? I'm curious what the timeline is. I ordered mine at the beginning of July.

Looking at your pics, did your bass come with the Fender tweed case? Fender's specs specify that the bass comes with a black tolex case. Hmmm?

I haven't requested anything but I may look into getting the case upgraded to a Fender Deluxe case with the logo and orange poodle plush interior. We'll see if they'll go for it...

Did you request anything different?

I didn't order mine, Music Gallery in Illinois had one in stock, so no wait. The tweed case did come with it. The CS site says black tolex, but Fender reserve the right to change specs. I guess that's why mine has the paddle tuners as opposed to the elephant ears in the promo pics.

Mike Eldred mentioned that there has only been a small number of these made when I asked him on the Fender Forum, so we'll have a pretty exclusive bass, bro. You'll love it when it arrives - you really have something to look forward to.

Ah, I thought maybe there was a store by that name in MD, too. I don't make it there often, but the Music Gallery is a nice little shop with friendly, helpful folks IME. They usually have an interesting inventory, too. Sweet-looking bass, congrats!

I dealt with Frank at the Music Gallery. I have met with / dealt with some pretty cool guys over the years, but Frank is #1 for me. Gave me a fantastic deal. By that, I mean that we met in the middle. I got what I wanted, Frank got a reasonable margin. He could have squeezed for more I'm sure, but he was happy to be reasonable. Very reasonable. I would highly recommend the Music Gallery, (Highland Parks, Illinois) to anyone. I will go there first for my future needs. No question.

They've got some seriously nice gear there, but I was blatantly ignored the last time I went there. Asked the gentleman behind the counter where they had their basses, he looked at me, then looked down at the counter & didn't say anything to me. Kind of bogus. Another guy came around & helped me out. I was checking out the Bassman TV 210 they had. The store overall left me with a bad taste in my mouth though....felt way too rich for me, and was treated as such.

Bummer, Jeremy! They've been pretty cool to me even though I've only bought a stand there. We'll have to meet up there sometime and go in together as an experiment.:D
