2012 American Standard Precision V

Candy Cola Red - Maple Neck

Ordered it yesterday and it should arrive by the middle/end of next week.

Good ole solid P-Bass.......and it's a 5 string! ::bassist:

Good to hear your still lovin' yours after 2 years. I started out with a p-bass, but I've played active Jazz basses for several years now. Thought it was about time to return to my roots.

I've thought about changing the pg out to a white pearl. Seen one on ebay like that and thought it looked pretty good.

That is the only mod I did.

PM me when you get it & post pics & a tonal-playability review of course.

I like that pg. Looks really good on your bass. Where did you get it? So far I found only one online store to get a precision 5 string white pearl pg.....about $70.

Thought I was going to be in a Country band. Wanted something like that. Asked her for a 'basket weave' pattern with a mock-tortise shell finish.

'Could have the leather stained in any color-pattern you want though. It was about $150(?). Turn around time, 2-weeks.

I sent her a very detailed tracing of my PG on a nice card stock board...holding the pen straight up. Spent the extra postage so it would be right the 1st time. It was a perfect fit.

P.S. WHAT I DO WHEN I GET NEW STUFF: of course you play the bass as of it were your joystick. Just take the original strap, cord, case key, tags and all papers & receipt and put them in a large Ziplock bag & file them. That way if you ever decide to sell it (Heaven forbid!) you have the 'case candy' as well. This has been a habit of mine since '92.
