Got a pretty decent deal on a trade this morning. Traded my MIM Jazz for an '86 Japanese P. I did some research and found that it was part of the"Contemporary Series" and was just a step below Duff McKagan's famous Jazz Special. Pretty cool for a local store find 
The bad news is it wasn't very well taken care of. It was pretty dinged up, and the pots and knobs are mismatched and malfunctioning, but the neck and pickups are good. No sound at the moment, I'm guessing a few bad solders in the "new" pots.
Spent the better part of the day scrubbing and disassembling. Put some new foam under the pickups and scrubbed away a lot of corrosion. I'm gonna swap in some new pots and a new jack in the morning, and I promise I'll have pics when it's done!
