Here it is boys and girls. Many of you have seen pics of it, asked questions about it and now I own it. 1974 Ibanez Artist Bass model 2615B. It's so freaking cool! Ya, I know it looks heavy, it weights 8.5 lbs so let's knock that of right away, lol. It sounds amazing. You'll hear it. Kinda like nothing I've heard and everything I've heard all in one. One things for sure, it's born for blues and classic rock!! Here's some pics and a video.

Wow, nice. I've always liked the old early trying to be good AND original MIJ stuff, quirky, well make, usually sounds great.
I've had a number of things from that era (most notably a Yamaha sa17) and have regretting parting with pretty much all of them (and you rarely see them again because the people who got them after you aren't as stupid as to part with them).
I really should see if my old pal I recently got back I touch with has the Yamaha - though I don't know what I'd give him for it exactly - maybe it's better not to know .
EDIT - when I read the title of this thread I was prepared to be disappointed - but that is indeed the coolest Ibanez ever.
Which is weird cause I never really cared for the Gibson Les Paul recording that it stole its general looks from but I REALLY like those (the whole 2 or 3 times I've seen them (only in pictures - I doubt there are any in Canada they were RARE).
