Do it! If they are as nice as the basses, you'll be very happy!Really cool and rare piece. I've been really looking into getting a vintage Ibanez Artist (guitar) myself.
Thanks good Dr. Hopefully I'll play as well as the present day you eventually. That is a really nice bass, and you play it well. You also look like a young me!

Many of you have seen pics of it, asked questions about it and now I own it. 1974 Ibanez Artist Bass model 2615B. It's so freaking cool! Ya, I know it looks heavy, it weights 8.5 lbs so let's knock that of right away, lol. It sounds amazing. You'll hear it. Kinda like nothing I've heard and everything I've heard all in one. One things for sure, it's born for blues and classic rock!! Here's some pics and a video.
Ya, so does the one in your avatar. lolVery cool. Congrats!
That tailpiece looks awfully familiar....
They are - though much more conventional than the bass - just a double cut Les Paul with fancier hardware and inlays.Do it! If they are as nice as the basses, you'll be very happy!
Glad you asked. The power button is listed as an "onboard power booster!" I call it the kill switch. It makes the output so hot, it's unplayable! And no, no clicks.I like the knobs with the numbers on them. Do they have a little 'click' for each number? What's the power button do?
That's why I bought it. Thanks.Very cool bass. In all my years of playing and running up and down the roads I have never seen one.
Nice playing too!
It really is. There's this on the back from a stand accident but that's it. It's spent most it's life in a moisture controlled room. It even has the cover for the back pickup. It looks in amazing shape for a '74. Man, I thought my GAS was over! Gotta love Ibbys. I need to play mine more.
Cheers!
