NBD Cort GB Short Scale

I'd love to pick one of these up. If anyone knows of any dealers that hve them in stock, please post a link. I can only find them on preorder, and when I went to order one earlier this week was told it'll ship in June (the page said March0. I want what I want and I want it now :) !!!!!!

Thanks for the great review!
Some places on Reverb still have some stock on certain colors it seems.

I'm not seeing anything except preorders, but would contact Deathcloud at their website. They were great and likely have more in their pipeline. The one I got from them was drop-shipped by American Music and Sound in Southaven, Mississippi if that helps. Thought I'd share my new knobs that I got on sale. The one small knob was bothering me. lol

Ordered mine from XYZ music in Arizona, but it also drop shipped from Mississippi. That's where they all live when they come to America.

Decided to order from a place on Reverb that delivers from about an hour away from me. A question regarding color. I love the color in the picture above, but it looks a bit different than the ones in all the pics on Reverb. Yours looks almost turquise. What are your thoughts regarding that? I ordered a green one - hoping it looks more like yours than other pics I've seen :) .

I keep looking online and don't see any USA stock - Deathcloud sounded unsure of delivery of their next batch and guessed in about a month so who knows. They also increased their list price. Def not turquoise color, and I thought the green pretty much exactly like the Cort website and what I see in my photo. Kind of like a celery green?

I finished replacing all the chrome hardware with black and doing a nice setup on the GB. I also added some Luminlay glow side dot material that I already had. Helps to see the side dots because the roasted neck was so dark that I could not really see the original Black side dots. The Hipshot Ultralite tuners eliminated the slight neck dive also. Very well balanced now.

Love the way this came out! Never really thought about the side dots, but had to put some filler into one of the fretboard dots that is sunk a little too low. The black really looks great and you even got black screws on the pickguard, nice! Hipshot quick load bridge? Assume the fretwork is awesome like mine. Congrats on your new GB, enjoy!

Thank you! Yes, I had this Black Hipshot vintage bridge already. Great bridge! The fret work is really nice on these GB's. I was able to get the action even lower last night with no issues. I am really digging this Bass. I think I spent an extra $150 for the Hipshot Ultralites and knobs as I had all the other parts/screws already. Can't beat these GB's for the price,

I keep coming back to this thread and loving the looks of that. I still have at least a month to wait before I get mine, but I want to ask as I rarely mod any of my basses.

If I decide to, can you tell me the proper replacement bridge to order? Can I do it without redrilling or refitting anything?

And same for the side dots. Do you have to drill holes for them? I'm assuming so, and do you know if alternative stick on markers might work almost just as well :) ?

Thanks in advance.

Cool! Here are a few links to bridges that are a drop in replacement with same screw pattern.

Gotoh WBBCBK Wilkinson Bass Bridge - Black | Reverb

GOTOH 201B-4 4-String Bass Bridge - Black | Reverb

For the side dots, I did have to drill out the old side dots and install and sand down the Luminlay side dots. But I did find this video that might be helpfull for an alternative.

Here is mine, decked out with Hipshot Ultralights, Hipshot bridge and black dome knobs. The tuners cut 4 oz. off the head. I'd like a totally black switch, but that's a project for another day.

Nice! The Hipshot vintage bridge looks great on these GB's and I like the quick load string option on them. Great bridges! The Lolipop Hipshot tuners look nice also.

I missed the first batch of these as I never knew they existed at the time they were available back end of '25.
I'm a shortie lover especially budgets. Already have the Newport and the Rascal. Price in the UK was £299, placed order 9th Feb, reviews were hard to track down when I placed my order but a couple came online a few days after pulling the trigger. I'm really intrigued about the juxtaposition of this guitar as the 2 mentioned have the more vintage sound (flats on the Epi) this guitar, it appears has a more contemporary sound.
Estimated date for delivery was 25th March but thats now been pushed back to mid Apr but speaking with them, that's no guarantee either.
I've searched all over the UK sites and no one here appear to have any in stock. I wonder whether Cort underestimated the demand they would generate when they first released it?
Either way, still waiting and really looking forward to a delivery sometime.

FWIW - I went for the fandango purple, all 3 colours are pretty good but out of the guitars I have, the the Rascal is Forest Green, the Newport is yellow and I've never owned a pink guitar. I very much doubt if all Cort were offering on this model was Tobacco Burst I would have ever given it a second look 🤣
