Whoa. Those are absolute stunners.

For my own preference, I see the sunburst as more of a vintage classic styling, and while I may favor the modern richness of the other (just personally)... that's one of the more beautiful sunburst finishes I've ever seen.

And touches like the magnetic cavity cover, super cool ensconced cable jack, and custom tuners, to say nothing of the cockpit controls, whoa.

Funny thing, just today I decided I might be in the market to finally move up to a custom 5-string........

hey campbems, that is the reunion gig bag right? How much room in the top do you have with the sponges on the bottom/endpin.

You think you could fit a 35 inch or is it really tight at 34?

It will easily fit a 35 inch scale bass as my 35 inch Devon’s and Roscoes fit no problem. I’ve owned some of the nicest Roscoes you will find anywhere and many other basses 2-3 times the amount of these Devon’s and nothing comes close to total value the Devon’s have. I get a lot more bass with more and better electronics and prettier tops for 1/2 of what a new Roscoe would cost. Devon is the best quality and playability of any bass I e had in my hands. The B string on all 7 Decins I’ve had have been equal or better to any bass I’ve played also. These last 2 are 34 inch scale and the B string is thunderous and clear.

dang. I was so close to pulling the trigger on a Roscoe 6 string...... but after reading your comment, I am holding off. The one I am looking at is almost 4000 USD.

I am going to look into the Devons. Thanks for the information. Very much appreciated.
