Well today was an unexpected new bass day. I’ve been working a lot and a lot of overtime during the pandemic as well as really dedicating my self to practice and the Scotts Bass Lessons technique course. Today is our 24th anniversary and my wife took my out for a coffee....or not. She knew I had been looking at a new 5 string lately but wasn’t going to pull the trigger. She took me to the local Long and McQuades here in Markham which has an excellent selection of beautiful basses including Dingwalls, FBass and Fodera. She insisted that I choose a new bass with the overtime I have earned. (The $6000 Foderas and Fbasses were not in the picture!) After some deliberation this fine looking bass followed me home.... She is whalepool blue and gorgeous! And what a fat sound! I am extremely happy and getting to work getting to know her, she plays a bit differently than my pbass! I am impressed with the range of sounds she can produce, there is definitely way more to Dingwall than prog metal. All in all I couldn’t have asked for a better surprise or a better wife!
L&M Markham is the only one that gets a decent selection of basses. Beautiful bass you got there. Happy anniversary.
Great store and great people. Located dangerously close to my house. I have considered whether it would be easier to just have my paycheque made out to them....
I bought the Tobaccoburst Combustion 5 they have in stock this morning. Picking it up on Saturday. TD
I'm only about 3 weeks away from taking delivery of the Combustion I ordered in January and couldn't be more stoked. Both your Dingwalls look wonderful.
