Nice! Not my favorite knobs, though. If it were mine, I might slap a set of these on there:

Guaranteed to burn! :D

Whoa, that is really nice! Can you tell us more about the builder? Ive never heard of them.

Primary builder is Sascha Dunable from the band Intronaut. The only reason I found out about his guitars was when they played on EMG and he was showing one off. Being they're a top five band for me I had to check them out and was instantly enamored with the thunderclapper. The prices are beyond reasonable if you look at the quote sheet and he's in that sweet spot phase where he's turned out enough product to be trusted but still new enough where he cares about every instrument that goes out the door. So freaking stoked to get it!

so fedex is a bunch of meanie faces. they gave a time window for Friday of 4pm-7pm. they showed up at 9am. whatever...its fine. so i decide to pay the 5 bucks to have it shipped to a local business my brother managers - that way im ensured someones there to sign for the package saturday. i get an email saying there was another exception. upon calling customer service they say the delivery guy had the guitar on a residential truck....he pulled into the new address and noticed it was a business so said he cant deliver it as it needs to be delivered via a business truck. he literally pulled up, saw the sign, and drove away. i know its not the drivers fault, but what a stupid rule.

anywho its now on a business truck to be delivered to a business tomorrow.

I've been drooling over his builds for months now, it was cool to see him come out with a bass model. I really dig his aesthetic. Did you have it setup for lower tuning than standard? Are you going to post any sound clips when it gets in?

ill try to get some decent soundclips. he set it up tuned to A(low)-G-C-F per what i like to play in. i usually use 105s, but said he put the same set but sub'd a 125 for the low A and said it sounds monstrous. looks like it actually got delivered today!

ill post some initial impressions tomorrow.

If it sounds half as good as it looks, I'd say you'll be pretty well pleased. I used a .128 for my BEAD basses most of the time and it sounds great, but it seems like most people prefer lighter. I'm looking forward to checking out clips. By the way, I checked out your band and I'm digging it!

Yeah, I don't have any problem with the feel of 5 string, but for some reason I always prefer the tone of a 4 string setup properly for BEAD. I'll probably give a fiver a shot again some day, I keep going back every 5 years or so and trying it out. I had my current main bass setup for B at the factory by Carvin and it plays like a dream.
