Anyone who knows the story of "The Tree" knows just how unreal this NBD is. It's called The Element Earth Acoustic Bass.

I have a summer outdoor acoustic gig at the beach where this bass will be perfect.

Gorgeous.

I've played on the beach around here several times and I have to say I wouldn't take anything that nice anywhere near the ocean.

The horror story...

At one show we were placed on sheets of plywood in the sand just beyond the high tide mark. Weather was clear but after a few songs the two guitarists and myself all expereienced issues with string stickiness and tuning problems. After a while longer there seemed to be a coating on our instruments and the drummer complained that his drums felt and sounded "mushy". We decided the evening to night weather change was to blame.

After that we never accepted another on the beach gig.

On the boardwalk or inside a club at the beach was ok but never again on the sand.

My motto is, if it's too nice to play outside at the beach with the waves crashing at your back, it's too nice to own.;)
