Ahh yeah - good info on these, I've read them before. There's a section about the Epiphone japan basses too, and two different Eb-3s that mine might be - but I don't know for sure which one it is.

Ahh yeah - good info on these, I've read them before. There's a section about the Epiphone japan basses too, and two different Eb-3s that mine might be - but I don't know for sure which one it is.
It's surprising to see that yours doesn't have the 'tombstone' headstock like other Japanese Epi's, but the normal 'open book' shape.
Awesome bass by the way! I bet those are loud as hell

Yeah, the Gibson-type headstock is cool - from what I gather these models were specially for the Japanese domestic market. Gibson didn't want them in retailers in North American because ti would be competing too hard with their primary brand.
