NBD: Eshenbaugh Black Forest

I've had it for a couple of weeks but haven't had a chance to make a post. I actually had pictures of this exact bass saved on the computer for a few years since first seeing it on TB. My plan had always been to order a bass from someone with very similar specs. I just love everything about the way it looks. When I saw it for sale I knew I had to have it.

Overall I'm super happy with it. I wanted something mainly for jazz and solo stuff. Although the tone is modern it's also pretty "woody" and natural sounding. The Nordstrand pickups with Aguilar pre provide a pretty wide variety of tones.

The bridge is a pretty interesting design. Aesthetically it is awesome but, like with similar bridges on guitars, there are some idiosyncrasies with intonation on the low strings further up the fretboard. It isn't too bad but I'll do a little work with it the next time I change strings, I'm thinking about trying the copper white nylons.
