NBD: Explorer

I had my eye on this 2016 Epiphone Limited Edition Explorer for quite a while. It felt a bit expensive for the features, but it was kicking around the store for months, so they were willing to take a few dollars off and I took it home this weekend.

I’ll be looking for some gold strings, which I think will look pretty sharp.

Careful you don’t hurt yourself. ;)

Sweet, best of luck with her. I LOVE explorer style basses...in the 80s I played a Hamer Blitz Bass in Red and Black Zulu finish with matching painted headstock, it was RARE, sold it about 7 years ago, wish I never did. Keep yours! Rock on.

Looks good! My first electric guitar was a Hondo Explorer copy in natural finish; they made a bass version too.

With the natural finish, it can fit looks-wise in a lot of different styles, I think.

Definitely an eye catcher. And I like the gold strings idea!
