NBD-Fender Blizzard Pearl extravaganza

Blizzard pearl is definitely a nice looking color. It always reminded me of the pearl white that Cadillac uses. It goes from silver to white depending on the lighting/angle. I used to have a MIM P Bass in that color, and I swapped the white pg for a black pearl, and it really complimented the Blizzard Pearl. Congrats!

I debated between rosewood and maple on my Jazz. The classic look would have been rosewood, but the vintage neck tint on the maple looks pretty nice.

I'm really digging the P-bass neck! I have large hands, and it just seems to fit just right. I can't wait to try it on the Jazz. Thanks for the picture - that is too cool!

Nice pair, for sure! I bought an '08 Blizzard Pearl Am. Std. Jazz new in '08. What a great bass. I actually prefer the look of the maple board with the Blizzard Pearl, although mine is rosewood. It played and sounded so good that I couldn't pass it up. Mine is wearing a 3-ply B/W/B pickguard. With the maple board, I like the stock parchment or a white pearloid guard.

I even started a thread or two awhile back about how awesome the 08 American Standards are!

XXL, I couldn't agree more about the '08 American Standard Line. Jumped on mine as soon as they were released. It's really a superlative instrument.

Did you put an active preamp in yours? The blue light reminds me of the Fender Stratocaster VG. Most excellent pickguard as well! Is that a sticker or etching?

EDIT: Dig the tapewounds!

I know this is an old thread... But I have a question about Blizzard Pearl. I have a 2004 model Fender MIM deluxe precision special in "Blizzard Pearl", but it looks like a light gold, almost Champagne. I called Fender and ran the serial number, they verified it should be Blizzard Pearl. I checked under the pickguard, but it's still a shade of gold. Anyone else have a blizzard Pearl that appears gold-ish?
