Just bought my first stock bass in 10 years - I've been building parts basses for a good while now but I've been unhappy with my latest build so decided to go shopping for inspiration.
It's a Fender American Special Jazz Bass. I played it in the shop and fell in love with it. I compared it to an American Standard while I was there and I much preferred the tone and feel of the special. Here she is:
