    Just bought my first stock bass in 10 years - I've been building parts basses for a good while now but I've been unhappy with my latest build so decided to go shopping for inspiration.

    It's a Fender American Special Jazz Bass. I played it in the shop and fell in love with it. I compared it to an American Standard while I was there and I much preferred the tone and feel of the special. Here she is:

    Cool! Looks nice. I'd love to try one of the American specials but they don't stock them anywhere here.

    That's a beautiful bass in a beautiful case, on a beautiful photo! Congrats!

    Very Nice, I like the high quality of the Am. Specials. +1 on the nice case too. I have the Precision in Sunburst and it's just great.

    Congrats!! You can't go wrong with maple on black.
