I just received this beauty from fellow TB'er @OpposableThumbs. Great seller by the way!

This is an early 1983 Fender Fullerton American Vintage Reissue Jazz bass with original case, pickups covers and string mutes. Pots dated to mid-1982 and neck to January 1983. I sold a 2020 Fender Custom Shop 1960 Precision Heavy Relic to fund this bass and I am not disappointed a single ounce! I LOVE the shape of the neck, the pickups are killer, it's light weight and it's stunning to look at!

My Fullerton obsession started in 1998, when I picked up an '82 AVRI '57 Precision bass for $200! I did eventually trade it and I've owned a few other Fullerton Precisions over the years, but this one takes the cake. I'm completely in love!

Beautiful. I had one. Do you find that having two tone controls is completely unecessary? Post some pics for us if you take it apart. The only thing i was disappointed about when that series came out is there were no clay dots and the strats had the narrow spacing. Maybe that would have been too vintage correct. I would love to take a bass like that and swap out those white dots for brown. I love slab boards.

The AVS I (2013-2017) and the AVS II series have clay dots and the 3 I own from the first series are incredible good instruments. This said: I like the look of clay dots, but would prefer the modern ones. Ever played on a dark stage? You're lost!
