NBD: Fender Modern Player Jazz Bass V

Hi all,
I'm excited to post my first NBD post here on TB! My new Fender Modern Player Jazz Bass V arrived yesterday, and I'm delighted! My first 5'er, so I'm still trying to get comfortable with it. Apart from that it plays like a dream!
It arrived with a loose pickup selector knob, which was unfortunate but a quick fix. Aside from that, fit and finish are excellent, and the tonal possibilities are very impressive.

Anyhoo I know the rules! No pics, no bass, so here ya go!

Thanks guys! The pickup selector allows you to chose the two outer coils, in a more traditional Jazz Bass fashion. I guess (just from looking at it) that the position of the outer coils would be closer to a 70s Jazz spacing than a 60s.
With the dual humbuckers turned on this bass sure can get mean!!

I look forward to seeing your pics!

Nope I haven't done any set up (aside from tightening the pickup selector knob). This is exactly how it came out of the box. I need to tweak the intonation a tiny bit, but that's all!

It's such a lovely instrument!

LeopoldBoom do you have the low B string who don't enter good or in totality in his slot at nut ?

with mine i was forced to enlarge the slot but when the string entering correctly, it was too low and buzz.. so iv remove the nut, add a little of paper under it, then stick it, now its perfect, no buzz anymore and the string who are good in his slot...
Sorry for my english..

Mine needed work on the nut as well, all the slots needed to be cut deeper to get a good setup.
