After 24 hours at room temp, the set up is still good. My other basses have something closer to a Jazz neck, so that is taking a little getting used to. I like the tone I am getting out of it. I do have a set of flat wounds I plan to try out on it though.
I might take you up on that. Though when I play it now, my dog freaks out a little. He was running around the room staring, scratching and jumping at the walls. It took me a while to figure out that it wasn't just my horrible playing...it was the chrome of the tuning machines reflecting spots of light on the walls. He was chasing the spots as if I was using a laser pointer. I may be afraid he will try to to the dog on the other side of the pick guard and worried what might happen to the finish on the bass if they go at it!!!
