I had a lot of these parts laying around for years, so a few weeks ago I decided to complete this build. I had respected LA luthier John Wescott drill everything and build it plus do the initial setup. I then got it really dialed in on my own over the last week or so. Action is crazy low and this neck refuses to buzz.
Surprisingly, not only are the looks killer but it is the BEST feeling and sounding Precision I've ever had, and I've had plenty of high end USA models. The one piece maple neck which is also satin has a very different feel. I LOVE it.
Body: Fender standard body (MIM, alder)
Neck: Vintera 60s Jazz Bass neck (roasted one piece maple, glossy front, satin back)
Pickups: PV63 with Emerson wiring kit
Tuners: GOTOH GBR640
Everything else: All genuine Fender parts except the Labella LTFs and Spitfire guard, which was a custom idea I had, almost black with just a little bit of tort poking through.
