Well, it's just a Precision, but it arrived on time from Sweetwater today. Super nicely packed... in a gig bag inside a box stuffed with padding and that box into another larger box with that spray in foam fill stuff. Very impressive.
I got the Desert Sand one. I think the look is subtle and understated, which is what I was hoping for. Setup perfect, frets all nicely smoothed and level. Even the intonation is right.
First impressions... my other bass is a Player P with Thomastiks on it, and I have used nothing but those on every bass I have had for at least the last 10 years. They are way lower tension than the Fender roundwounds that came on this bass, so I can really feel the extra effort it takes to play these.
The maple neck has some subtle color patterning that goes all the way through (it shows on the back of the neck and the fingerboard). I like it.
The pic was taken by Sweetwater, but it is of my bass.
