Yes; Hipshot makes a version specifically for the Squiers, so make sure you get that one if you go that route for a bridge.

A lot of players seem to like that stealth string retainer on their Fender five-strings. I haven't really looked into it for myself, as my low string mostly behaves as it should (that was true even with the stock bridge, other than when changing strings).

TBH its such a good platform to modify and I've been thinking go all black hardware and just upgrade everything at once; tuners, bridge, pots, etc. I'm debating changing the body color aswell since I plan on keeping it.

Yeah, I might go with Gotoh sculpted paddles or Hipshot lollipops rather than clover key tuners if I'm feeling flush somewhere down the line, but I've got mine pretty much where I want it right now.
