Well, through sleet and snow the last Tony Franklin fretless that Sam Ash Direct had in stock arrived at my local store. Got a call from my rep that its in, but because of snow they might close early. I said, you gonna be closed in the next hour, reply "naw" then I'll be right there and now without further fanfare my newest edition the one and only Tony Franklin Fretless back in black

Ooooo... None More Black!! Very nice my friend. Any idea what strings you want to use on it?

I am gonna stay with the stock strings for a bit until the bass is better broken in. But most likely roundwounds, got to have the grind and grit that I can't get from flats.

It really is nice; neck, well rounded body but I am already noticing that I have to play more by sound than sight. The unlined board use to scare me, no more
