Regarding neck dive, thought I would report that the Warmoth T bass CAN have good balance if you do everything possible to lighten the neck - slim J neck with graphite rods, ultralight tuners, small headstock, etc. This one balances perfectly.

Same happened to me in 2013 when I added a vintage Gretsch pickup replacement to a custom '51 style Pbass slab only to find out Fender released the Cabronita. Couldn't believe the timing coincidence.Thank you and yes! I was kinda disappointed when that came out before I finished mine.
My inspiration was the Turner Model One but there are others out there with that vibe even in the bass realm...
Carvin AC40, Tom Peterson's 12 string, etc. Lots of other flavors but ours is a little different.
The only thing I would change if I do another is that I might flip it to reverse P.

As Keef Richards says “there's nothing new under the sun.”Imitation and concurrent design of similar things is also validating. It's just a tad deflating to think that some folks will think we copied this or that.
Someone once said that everything has already been invented. We just keep coming out with new versions.

Yes, that's standard on them as I understand--I prefer the lower of the two
