NBD: G&L L2000 USA

Congrats on the L2000! This is a classic as far as I'm concerned...crazy versatile and sounds huge. FedEx is delivering my new L2000 later today. I always run the bass knob about 1/2 to 3/4 down and the treble at 1/2 down and always in passive mode.

I am running the contour volume and gain opposite of yours. I set the gain to taste, two to three o'clock, then adjust volume for the room, which is mostly my living room, so around eight o'clock. But, honestly, I have had a hard time with the l-2000. I bought it to be a perfect playing bass to get my other basses into the shop for work. The p bass is back, and the stingray is in the shop still. The g&l unfortunately has a baseball bat of a neck, and I have small hands, so it is a workout to say the least. It's a better bass in every way, but that 1-3/4" nut and big "C" neck radius is a lot to get my left hand around.....
