Picked this up today from a buddy at work. It's well used, but still looks nice. Sounds great and I got it for a good price. It's my wife's Christmas present to me, so I have to pack it up until Christmas, grabbed some shots before I turned it over to "Santa" for wrapping.

It had the matte black pick guard on it, I put the original back on just to see her in her original condition. Quite frankly, I'll probably rock it with no pick guard, love the look of the flame maple. If I do any pick guard at all it will be a gloss black/red/black 3 ply from Warmoth.

In the pics it looks like scratches on the forearm contour, those are reflections. She has some warts, nothing that bad though.

I've wanted one of these for a while, and it just fell into my lap. Merry Christmas to me! (and to you guys and gals!)

I was going to list this as my "Holy Grail" bass in that thread. Such a beauty!!
I'm lucky to have a wonderful standard USA Geddy and love it, but the crimson version is so sweet. Enjoy it in good health! (and I LOVE it with the original black pearl pickguard)

Dang, wish I had a buddy like that! Congrats, that's an awesome score. That neck looks really nice too, my CIJ didn't have that kind of figuring.

I like the no pickguard look myself. I also like that it has been *played* so you can feel free to do the same!
