So, I'll make this short, and sweet. Beautiful Ibanez SR1405E. Plays as good as my SR1600LE(Amazing) and sounds the same, due to electronics/woods being the same. I'm hooked on these damn things. Now to get used to that 5th string.

I'm probably a little worse than you. I've bought a total of 5 new Ibanez SR and BTB Premiums and Prestige basses in the last 7 months lol. I love these basses and they have improved my sound so much.

Here are a few more pics for you guys. Gotta say though. Small issues arose. So, upon opening the 'brown box' I noticed the Ibanez box had been opened which was evident because their security tape was retaped with regular packing tape. Opened even further, and all of the headstock tags that come with a new bass were taken off, and put into the gigbag. There was some 'sweat gunk' on the first fret, showing that it had been 'played'. At least enough for someone to get buildup on there. So my thought is that someone played it and returned it. Meaning I got a 'scratch and dent' item at full price. This bass is $250 cheaper on scratch and dent. So, I didn't know from LOOKING at it why it would have been returned. Its shaging beautiful. Well I got inside, plugged in and found out why. The pots were almost impossible to move. Not sure how to explain it. They did move but I honestly thought I was going to break something if I tried. I called AMS and all is right. They sent me a shipping label, and I packed her back up nice and snug and shipped her off to UPS. They are going to overnight me a new one as soon as they receive tracking confirmation. So, before packing her up I got a few money shots for me to drool over until my new baby comes in.

I won't lie though, when I get it back, one of my first orders of business is going to be to replace all of the hardware with Cosmo Black hardware from Ibanez. I have no clue why they put gold on this thing.

Didn't know that either. Sorry to hear about the woes with it not being brand spanking new! The black hardware will look siiiiiick on that!
