NBD: homage to Pino

So I ordered this wonderful instrument several months ago through Rocket Music (thanks, Greg, it's exactly what I hoped for!). I have another G&L fiver in fullerton red (L-1005) that also originated at Rocket Music 7 or 8 years ago, and I wanted this bass to complement that one (I've always loved fiesta red!). Sometime during the 6-month or so wait, I became obsessed with Pino Palladino's spectacular fretless work with Gary Numan and Paul Young. Opening the case yesterday, it suddenly dawned on me that this is the perfect marriage of a Pino Custom Shop P bass and a fretless Stingray. It sounds amazing, and it doesn't hurt that the empress body keeps it in the 7 lb range. Time to practice!

I have a fretted kiloton 5 in empress coming later in the year from Rocket Music as well, so I'm happy to hear yours is in the 7lb range.
