Tribute series G&L L2000.
It was all grimy and gooey and nasty. 2 hours of cleaning and a fresh set of strings and it's good as new, save for one tiny chip in the finish.
I can't believe I have never played G&L before because daaaaaaaamn.... this bass THUMPS!

Good deal....stole it, imo. Coolest feature? Those MFD pickups' adjustable pole pieces for each string.

Congrats! She cleaned up nicely. That is one heck of a deal at 100 bucks!

G&L's are great basses. People overlook them all the time but an L series bass can cover so much ground. Love my L2000 and my L2500.

I bought a trib 2500 off Reverb and just didn't gel with it. Neck was twisted too. Being able to try and buy local is invaluable!

If you want to take the bass to the next level of Swiss Army Knife, take it to a tech for a "K-wiring Mod." What that does is providing you with single coil modes for each pickup (i.e. single neck, both in single, single bridge).

Some G&Ls came from the factory with this mod. Gotta say, it NAILS a lot of classic Fender tones

There are many resources online to help you do it yourself, or take that info to a tech and pay to have it done. Either way, it's a great mod.

Well the first 2 weeks of 2021 anyway.
Weight? No idea. Slightly more than my maple/mahogany bodied Ibanez 4, but far less than my boat anchor ovangkol & bubinga Ibanez 4.
