NBD - I Found Another One!

I’ve done periodic searches on the net through the years without much luck looking for another Luna Andromeda, and found an ad in the TB classifieds from 2013 with one for sale so I was thinkin’ he wouldn’t still have it – right(?), but I had to PM and ask. He still had it, and we did the deal … maybe the longest a bass took to sell from the TB classifieds!

I had one of these back in 09’, and wound up selling it because of deficient bridge pieces that have no intonation screws, just a small set screw that locks the saddle in place so in order to set it - you need to loosen the string completely, take a guess where to set the saddle, then re-tighten & tune to see if you got it in the correct position. Big hassle.

The pickups aren’t anything to write home about, but they’re adequate with it’s 2-band active EQ.

I’m glad I found another one because I miss the one I had, and just think it’s a cool looking bass. A big thanks to ModuMan.

^ 7lbs 6oz. These were made around 2008-2009, then discontinued shortly after.
That's really good. I assume that was in keeping with Luna's desire to make instruments that are easier on women's (or anyone's) smaller frames. Too bad -though not surprising- something that unique looking didn't survive, but at least they tried something different before settling back into the P-bass formula.

Well gee, no wonder you wanted another one!

:D

Congrats OP, that bass looks cool.
I remember Luna came out with one with a dragon inlay on the body. Same bass body I believe. I really wanted to get it at one point, forgot about it and then these particular Luna basses just disappeared. I still see some for sale, the P bass with the woodburning design, but not the Andromeda nor the versions with the inlays.
