NBD - I Found Another One!

Are you planning on upgrading the bridge and/or pups/electronics?

Also, have you considered using some sort of plastic wedge and gentle taps with a hammer to adjust the position of the saddles while the saddles are still tightened, or at least not fully loosened?

I've not messed with these types of bridges before but perhaps if you loosened the string brought the saddle back further than necessary and then and then tuned up, you could the tap the saddle progressively towards the neck and achieve intonation without having to entirely loosen the strings again.

Yes, in fact I found a set of (4) gold Ibanez MR4 monorail bridge pieces for $84, not sure if I want to spend that much being I use the same brand/type of strings so once it's intonated - it will stay pretty close using the same strings ... close enough for me anyway. I'm just not sure how far I want to go with it or if I'm going to swap out the pickups & electronics. I kinda see it as a (nowadays) rare find that I just had to get.

The bridge pieces have not proven to be a problem. Neither have the electronics.
EDIT: To clarify... I run a small guitar repair shop. I can swap parts out all day. But if I get an instrument like this, I'll play it until it PROVES absolutely to be deficient in some way that requires me to seek out upgrade parts. Which it likely won't do, as I have a dozen other basses that I could switch to to cover whatever sound or playing "issues" that the Luna may have. I will enjoy the Luna for what it is... just like I don't expect my Danelectro to intonate perfectly, or have the huge sonic whomp of, say, a Modulus or Alembic. It is what it is, and I try to enjoy it for what it is.

I’ve done periodic searches on the net through the years without much luck looking for another Luna Andromeda, and found an ad in the TB classifieds from 2013 with one for sale so I was thinkin’ he wouldn’t still have it – right(?), but I had to PM and ask. He still had it, and we did the deal … maybe the longest a bass took to sell from the TB classifieds!

I had one of these back in 09’, and wound up selling it because of deficient bridge pieces that have no intonation screws, just a small set screw that locks the saddle in place so in order to set it - you need to loosen the string completely, take a guess where to set the saddle, then re-tighten & tune to see if you got it in the correct position. Big hassle.

The pickups aren’t anything to write home about, but they’re adequate with it’s 2-band active EQ.

I’m glad I found another one because I miss the one I had, and just think it’s a cool looking bass. A big thanks to ModuMan.

Yes it is very unique isn't it, that's why I got another one, but wanted your opinion being you have one.
