Hey there! Snagged this beauty today, owner bought it new in around 2006 and has barely touched it. It's showroom new all around and sounds fantastic. To get a good idea of the sounds, check out @LowEndLobster YouTube vid on the higher end version of this bass, same pickup. It's heavy but not t40 level, it also balances great with no neck dive. I love how it feels and looks, I can't wait to play it with my band at rehearsal this week. Here are some pics!

Nice pickup, I have an ATK 300 myself. Truly a Stingray killer. FYI, the pickup is NOT the same as on the 810 that Lobster reviewed. I believe that is a dual coil while the 300 is tri coil. @LowEndLobster ?

IMO, it's the electronics that partly makes these basses special. The pre amp is nasty and snarly. They changed that and the pickup after the last old Indonesian batch of the old design was made in 2007 before being revamped and rereleased with a more polite tone.

Hella word! I've wanted one of these for a good while. Great basses. Probably Ibanez's greatest line. And, like all fast food chains recently, They've taken them off the menu. I can't believe taco bell stopped the Enchiritto, and Quesaritto. I mean c'mon man! Best things on the menu. Now I'm limited to a chalupa, and a talman. Shame

OH Man!!! She just look like new from box ! Absolutely beautiful!!!!

Some ATK fans prefer this earlier pickups version than later CAP version.

TY. This is exactly what I meant. LOTS of ATK fans prefer it for the better pickup and preamp combo than the revision.

IMHO, the ATK is a genuine classic. It is a great take on the things that make Stingrays cool without being a copy. A fresh take on something as good as a Stingray is a great thing.

Lots of people feel they even did it better. The tri coil pickup with the switch still have a killer MM sound, but with many other options the MM didn't have. And honestly, that preamp is special. It's not afraid to be impolite.
