First impressions:
Fit and finish is good, nothing to complain about. Weighed in at 10.3 lbs.
Did a quick play test and was surprised at the clarity of the Ibanez T1 pups. The EQ was also pretty flexible and gave a good range of useable tones.
I did run into an issue - I noticed a soft hum/buzz whenever the front pickups were mixed in, and turning up the treble made it super obvious. I started poking around in the electronics case. The most forward back panel screw (closest to the neck) was too long and jabbed into the cable jacket going to one of the neck PU humbucker coils. The hum went away immediately when the screw was removed. Inspected the insulation and it looked ok otherwise. Cut the screw short on the grinder so it stopped jabbing into that cable. The problem went away, leaving a super clean, crisp tone. I'm surprised that Ibanez QC didn't catch the problem.
Swapped in Payson flats and set up for the new strings. Still pleasantly surprised that the tone remained clear, and still warmed up a little with the flats.
I was concerned about having to get used to a multiscale guitar, but it proved to be a non issue. It's pretty comfortable to play and feels somewhat more intuitive.
