For my birthday i got a used ibanez mikro bass guitar (black) and a used acoustic 15W amp

If you got it used, it might need a setup. It's something worth taking the time to learn to do yourself.
Go slow, don't do anything extreme, and if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, bring it to
someone who knows what they're doing.

I like my Mikro a lot.

what needs to be fixed?lower action? its not that high

I'm no expert. That's for sure. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can answer.

But if you're getting a lot of buzzing when tapping, you might need to raise the action a bit,
to give the string some clearance. Might possibly need a bit more relief too.

happy birthday!

due to the shorter 28.6" scale on the mikro, you may need heavier strings or/and higher action if you want no buzzing at all. mine buzzed a little when played aggressively, but it filled a very specific need for me, and overall i quite liked it.

i'm a little curious - was there any particular reason you ended up with a mikro instead of a long scale or standard short scale bass?

my acoustic bass i have right now is very long scale, and im wanting to play a song that reaches from the third fret to the seventh fret (chord) which is nearly impossible on my long bass. Also i wanted to do tapping
