NBD. Ibanez SR300 w/updated pickups

Just got this new SR300, with the new "Powerspan" pickups. I think that the pickups are a definite improvement over the old curved ones.
Three way switch...single coil, boosted single coil, and humbucking. In boosted, or humbucking mode, this thing is seismic! Mahogany body, so it has a nice, deep tone to it. Color is Metallic Gray, a carry-over color, that I'm glad they kept.
I owned one of these in last year's model, briefly. Everything was the same, down to the color, except for the pickups, of course.
Great bass.. Love it! :hyper:

congrats! the 300 is a sweet bass, for sure - how are those new pickups?

Thanks! So far, I'm liking the new pickups. Lots of tonal flexibility. The old pickups weren't bad IMO, but I think that the curved pickup concept is inherently ,somewhat flawed.
I wasn't really looking to buy another bass. (yeah, right..lol!) I walked into GC, and they had this one new 4-banger, in the color I like.
I've regretted getting rid of the other Metallic Gray 300 I had before, but this one is even better.
