I just bought and received a new Ibanez SR300EB in weathered black. After restringing and setting up the bass, I'm really impressed. It plays great and sounds great. I just wanted a cheap backup to my P bass and I think this will do the trick!

Yeah I believe they are some of the best value basses for the money. I wanted something cheaper and this was my first choice. It's tough to go wrong with any stripe of SR300 from any era. Solid value all around.![]()
Thank you. Can't wait to try it live!Nice score! Enjoy your SR!
I have the SR300EB Candy Apple. I liked it enough to get a 300E to keep at my girlfriend's for playing there.Thank you!

I've owned a SR370E before and remember liking the powerspan pickups. I will probably play it at my next live show and make an assessment from there. Those are nice basses. Definitely interested in your thoughts on the pickups and whether they'll stick around.
I agree 100%. I owned an SR650 once and regret selling it.Ibanez does a great job on that type of finish. I have an SR650 in a lighter shade and agree 100% about the feel; like it's made to be touched, which is a good quality in an instrument.
Wishing you many happy notes!
They are really nice basses. I'm blown away at the quality for the price. The bass stayed on a hot fed ex truck for 3 days. I figured it would have a warped neck when it arrived. We have been having 105 degree days here in Louisiana. To my surprise, everything was perfectly fine.I have the SR300EB Candy Apple.
