NBD! Ibanez sr700

Well, I finally get to have my first NBD :)
It's an Ibanez SR700. The elixer strings are smooooth even though they're rounds. Also, it sounds wonderful :D

Anyone have tips for taking pictures? These were taken with a 10mp camera, and they look like crap! I don't know what to do.

good looking bass. The pics are much sharper. Another tip: you need more ambient light so that the flash is not alone. if less flash is used, then you won't have the distracting highlight. You could also diffuse the flash with a white translucent Pringles top.

I was looking at one of these the other day. I was really drawn to that awesome colour. I don't mind Ibanez basses, even though I dont own one anymore, My first bass was a soundgear and every Ibanez I've played has been light with a great action. I really want the HR Geiger model.

So YOU were the one that won it? It was the final one on my "hit list" that we abandoned when we found the L-2500. I think I probably saved you a few bucks by not bidding as I was originally planning on bidding about $50 more than the auction closed at with about 5 seconds left to go. Congrats, it's a beautiful bass and you got a great buy!

I'm in love with my own SR700 :smug:

I tried many basses in the shop, but that's the one I felt the most comfortable with. Its sound and tonal versatility attracted me the most, too.

I have a preference for the "Charcoal Brown" finish, which on my bass tends more to a red color, matching my Dark Cherry Lag Roxane.

I'm wondering what's the reason behind the new neck body joint shape in the 2010 models. Seems like pretty much all the SR line moved to the new design.

The SR700 is the one bass I grab and play every time I make a run up to GC. The light weight, contoured body, fast thin neck, and sound are great, not to mention the amber color. I hope to get one of these and the new srt905dx soon. Goodluck with your 700.
