I play Spector Euros exclusively these days and I own 6 however, I’ve always had a thing for the Ibanez SR series six once playing an SR800 back in the early 90’s.
Over the years I’ve never been too fond of the lower end SR basses and the higher end ones only come in colors that are NOT at ALL appealing to me.
When these were released I was intrigued so, I pulled the trigger on one. First impressions:
The color is amazing in person and the matching headstock is icing on the cake!
It’s lightweight at only 7 lbs and 12 oz!
The Fishman pickups and pre can cop just about ANY tone you are looking for (In my case it can get that Spector growl)
The multiscale is not extreme at all and I don’t even notice it when playing.
I wasn’t sold on the chrome Fishman pups in conjunction with the black hardware, but they’ve grown on me and add the uniqueness of the bass.
I had to loosen the truss about 1/2 turn out of the box and raise all 4 strings very slightly as when I got it, anything on frets 1 & 2 would buzz.
All in all it’s a killer multipurpose bass and I plan on running it through its paces in Eb and Drop C# tuning…more later once I’ve had some more time and some practices / gigs with her.

i think i could get used to the chrome pickup covers, as you say: they're "unique." glad it plays for you and that it sounds so good --- congratulations on your new instrument!
