NBD! Kiesel Vader 30” (short scale) 5 string

I’ve wanted to try one out forever, and a used one popped up on Reverb for less than half of what the Kiesel website builder says a new one would cost. (With all the fancy wood & finish options I put in there, anyway, lol.)

My very first bass way back when was a headless Cort (Steinberger copy), so the headless look & feel is something I’m already used to. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I like it! The tuning system on this Kiesel is great- I love it that you can use just about any strings. They don’t have to be double ball ended, and I believe they don’t have to be short scale, either.

I couldn’t be happier! Take a look at this stealthy beauty:

I have a 4-string version short scale and it is a great bass!! I hope enjoy playing it!!

And yes, you can use any strings you like!!

YAY! It will be SO nice to not have to worry about specific scale length of the strings. I have a few different short scale basses. Some take short scale strings. Others take medium scale strings. And then there is the difference between what some string manufacturers label “short scale” and the actual length of the string.

Your Vader is gorgeous. I love the color and the maple fretboard.

That is downright sexy. Have really contemplated one of the Vader series as they just seem awesome.
