NBD - LeFay Remington Steele 6 RHT

Picked this absolute beauty up second hand yesterday in practically new condition, not sure if it's previous owner is here on talkbass but they were fantastic and went the extra mile for the sale.

Padouk neck, cherry body and "crazy cherry" hand top, all hand carved. This bass has such a beautiful tone, it doesn't just "mwah" it warbles and sings, no matter what pickup configuration or where you pluck, you can easily use the neck pickup, or pluck right up by the bridge and still get that beautiful singing tone out of it. I'm a big fan of the design with the ultralight faux headstock, you get all the ergonomic and weight advantages of a headless, with a more traditional aesthetic.

CONGRATS! I've had GAS for a headless LeFay for a very long time but have never managed to swing it. A LeFay isn't in the cards for me (it's OK, I'm happy with my bass collection), but I'd love to see more pics of this beauty!

I saw that video, thought "that has got to be a hard bass to play in tune." I do think the position markings on the board, and the way they shift from lower to upper strings for upper register, are the right way to do it, for an instrument like this.

Would love to see OP post a video.

I once saw Mothers Finest play live back in the ‘90, and Wyzard had the most amazing monster slap tone I ever heard. He played a yellow LeFay Pangton.
Would love to have one some day, but it has to be a multiscale 5
