NBD Markbass GV 5 Gloxy

Okay, I finally pulled the trigger and had pickguards made for this bass. It was a fun process...

I downloaded an image of the Markbass pickguard that is only sold on the Markbass site, only available in solid black and, of course, subject to import costs.

Used the image to create a scaled template and confirmed the fit, then sent it off to Pickguardian for a custom order.

I dig them all!

Absolutely love the pickguard. It needs it. That really makes me want to pull the trigger.
How much did they charge if you dont mind my asking? And do you think they still have the template?

His price to me was based on me ordering three guards and I also paid a template fee. The price also depends on the material you want to use.

He is a super friendly and helpful guy, I would just reach out to him and ask for a price... he probably still has the template. Use my name, Eric Edwards, and perhaps one of the photos to jog his memory. Home | Pickguardian

The dilemma that might need to be considered is manufacturers don't always keep the details of the design perfectly consistent even within the same model year. For instance, I have seen this model with a squared of neck heel instead of the more rounded one like mine. Point is, even if he has my template there is really no 100% guarantee that it will fit.

Thanks man! Much appreciated

Very nice bass, congratulations!
I really love the sound, playability, versatility of the (top notch) preamp & tone is nice, also very decent B string.
But I disliked the plastic all black knobs, because the position markers are very hard to read.
Replaced them with nice feeling metal ones and and I'm very happy with it:
