NBD Maruszczyk Madness

So I was looking casually through the Reverb listings and ran across this beauty and I knew I had to have it. It is a Maruszczyk Jazzus 4 in sterling white metallic. I have heard nothing but great things about Adrian's basses but I have not had the pleasure of playing one. The quality on this bass is absolutely ridiculous fit and finish is custom shop level. The paint job is just breathtaking in person it changes colors based on the angle of the light. The fretboard is ebony and I really like these boards it's my first one of this type and it is a nice choice. The Glockenklang preamp sounds incredible and when in active mode it sounds like a cross between a Warwick Thumb and a jazz bass just so clear and powerful. This is the first preamp I've ever heard where I actually have to turn the bass down because a little adjustment goes a long way. The neck is super comfortable and just feels right. It is strung with D'Addario EFX160 FlexSteels that sound so good on this bass.

Yes it does and I was concerned at first because I play seated

I figured it did.

Great basses, my Sputnik balances perfectly, also. I play seating down a lot. So that's very important to me.

I even prefer neck dive than body dive.

I think they’re a great design, was just idly spec’ing one on their ‘custom’ shop earlier. Glock preamps are really good units. Sounds like you’ve got a peach here!

Congrats on your bass. I've been really intrigued about Maruszczyk basses lately. Many different styles at very reasonable price points. It's probably not in my immediate future but never say never.
