NBD: MM Bongo 6. String suggestions please!

A semi-impulse buy, in the sense I was not actively looking for a 6 string, or any bass for that matter. This one caught my eye as it is in fantastic used condition and passed the in-store playing test with flying colors. Plus I did want a 6 string as I've never owned one.

I'm assuming the strings are the Slinkys the bass came with from the factory. They sound just fine. That said, I'm open to any and all suggestions. Thanks for all comments and help!

I played a stealthed-out Bongo 6 at my local high end bass shop once. They’re killer instruments. Great clarity up and down the neck. Love the crescent inlays. The controls are a bit much for me but I’m a, “set it and forget it” type of guy.

Ernie Ball Slinkies are my main go-to, but I also love DR High Beams - they make 6 string sets in a couple gauge choices. I don’t own my own 6er, so I can’t speak on a 6er set specifically, but those strings have always been A1 for me in other applications.
