Congrats on the bass! And, as a Chiefs fan, my condolences to you on the AFC loss.
Beauty, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a silver burst anything in person .
Appreciate it brother. I’m good. I’ve been around long enough, I’m used to the heartbreak. I give myself 24 hours to mope and then move on. Life’s too short to get angry about stuff we can’t control.
Blocks and no binding is great IMO.

That’s a beauty, blues it or rock it or wathever genre it will be used for and enjoy it. 
Who knew there was a context that would make black pearloid look good? 
That is a beautiful bass! @Malak the Mad has a mod shop bass also in silver burst with the blocked neck. I ordered a mod shop precision with the blocked neck but went traditional with Olympic Pearl and tort, it should be here any day. Seeing these silver burst basses makes me wish that's what I ordered (it was actually a close second to Olympic Pearl).

Thanks for the heads-up! It's nice to know that @JimmyO and I have a pair of "cousins" in our respective herds.
Sadly, I can't take mine outside for a proper photo-shoot, yet. It's way too cold/snowy/salty right now, so it'll have to wait until the thaw.
Until then, this Mod Shop graphic will have to do.Yeah, pictures are one thing, but to finally see one "in the flesh" is a whole 'nother experience!

)Interestingly enough, before I pulled the trigger, I reached out to Warmoth to see if their Silverburst was similar to Fender's. Sadly, they said no. Their version is uses a brighter silver and the burst is much tighter to the edges of the body. For me, it was that darker silver with a broader burst pattern that had grabbed me years ago. So, when blocks showed up as a feature, I made my calls, got my answers and bit the bullet.
Funny thing, if I had to grouse just a wee bit over anything, it would be the lack of any binding. Different strokes, eh?
Still, I'm stoked that I was able to get a great neck with genuine blocks.
Love it! The only Silverburst I had ever seen in person was Adam Jones from Tool and his Silverburst Les Paul, which he has literally been playing since they broke out 30+ years ago. I’ve always loved the look of that finish. Tool is one of my favorite bands, and while I don’t play prog metal myself currently, I feel this finish is a nod to that. Plus, my preference in finishes has always been white, black, or somewhere in between.

My fav part of this whole bass is the knobs. What a fantastic match to highlight the awesomeness of the whole thing! Fantastic spec, Bro.
I never would have put this together if left to my own devices, but seeing this now is just breathtaking. Stunningly classy. If they dropped this as a new model next year they'd sell a bazillion, and one might be to me! Very cool!

Congrats! She's a beaut. Currently obsessing over used Mod Shop P/J Precisions.
I appreciate that, but there was no choice on the hardware colors, lol. Only things I’d consider being different is maybe gunmetal hardware, but definitely a matching headstock. The Troy Sanders signature has the matching headstock, which completes the whole look IMO. But even considering that, there were too many cons to getting that one. Active, two pickups, and the name and logo of a bass player and band I don’t really care about. No hate, Mastodon’s just not my bag, which I realize is a bit weird for a Tool fan to say… A couple guys in that band are even from here in Rochester, NY.

I mean, I love my 93 MIJ Jazz bass in Olympic white and red tortoise, she’s my first “real” bass… But if any jazzy lady could make my eye wander, it’s that one right there.

Funny. I spec'ed one out identical to this a month or so ago. Problem for me is they don't do 5ers, or I would have bought already.

It's my duty to report that this thread caused my mind to jump from "silverburst" to the Mark Lindsay hit "Silver Bird".

Neat song and I totally get the "substitution" groove. If nothing else, there are worse songs to get earwormed with.
