Well, technically, New Bass Day was past Tuesday, but I couldn't make pictures before today, so here it is.
I must say I'm really impressed and I think I scored a real deal with this one. It's from 2000, made in Czech Republic and cost me 220.
Zero fret, 35" scale, passive, with Bartolini pickups. Oh, and wide string spacing.
Yesterday, at rehearsal, we were doing some recordings to prepare for our planned studio session in March. First I was playing my Ibanez SR 885, which is a fine bass by all means. But the 'Beast' is quite something else. After we finished playing the first song I played with the new bass, our studio technician came in the rehearsal room and was REALLY impressed with the sound. It's a lot more defined than the Ibanez and a lot louder too.
Anyone else play this type? What's your experience?
