NBD - MTD535

I just got my long-awaited MTD535 from Rumble Seat Music. It's an older 95 Wenge/Wenge/Korina version with the old bridge, pickups and headstock. It's my third 535 and fourth MTD. There's something magical Michael puts in every instrument he makes and this instrument is not an exception. The wood is extremely resonant, you can feel every note with your body. The playability is super and the mystic sound is to die for. This wood combo gives more low end and low mids while still keeping the zingy highs. That's my favorite combo.
Even the plain natural finish looks much better in real life than any picture can show. Wonderful, just wonderful!
I hereby officially declare - fellows, I am happy! :bassist:

Talk to us about the electronics, Margus. What are the controls, and how do they work?

Do you know the model of Bartolini pickups in it?

MM

The electronics are the usual MTD535 stuff - Vol, Pan, Highs, Mids, Lows and Mid frequency selector. The pickups are specially made for MTD by Bill Bartolini, you cannot obtain them anywhere ells. But these are the older ones that give more low mid punch.
For that track I just added a bit lows and tiny bit of mids (500Hz). The highs were on the zero position. It depends on how you pluck the strings and where, the bass is very sensitive to the technique.
