I was going that bass that you have; but did not have enough at the time. Congratulations... a Note about the pickups: the first 900 or so USA MTD basses made had ACTIVE Bartolini pickups (The pickups had an internal built in preamp). Now the basses just have regular Passive Bartolinis (the preamp is basically the same); but I think the early pickups sounded a bit better than current ones...if not better more modern I should say! The newer basses he makes are still killer instruments, but I prefer the older version. I have a 435 from 1998, it has a Gloss finish too....killer Bass!!!

My first MTD was almost identical, and only a little bit higher serial number. It's cool to see a near-twin! It was an amazing instrument when I got it, but it really came alive with MTD strings...
