Congratulations!! Sweet bass. What do like better about single H over HH?

I can’t speak for the OP, but I am not crazy about the location of the neck pickup on the HH, and can live without those extra tones. The single H is versatile enough for me.

Gorgeous instrument!

Sweetwater recently had a dealer-exclusive finish on the regular Stingray Special called "Eclipse Sparkle" that this finish reminds me of, albeit Starry Night looks just a shade lighter at the edges. Combined with an Ebony board & black hardware, these sparkle burst finishes look incredible!

Actually I honestly like both but I already have the BFR Champagne sparkle double H and I really wanted the DarkRay so this seemed like the best option

I'm curious, how does the preamp (in its clean setting) sound compared to a normal SR Special?

its different for sure. Versus my Special, it sounds like the treble Hz and Q is focused a little higher than the special. Bass frequency sounded similar though but not having a mid control takes a little to get used to.

I love my granite Darkray from the first run. The distortion and fuzz are great and with the Darkglass preamp you don’t lose any low end. It’s become my go to for live shows.

not a music man fan for some reason, something about the body shape, they sound great, the ones I have played have played great, just a me thing; but that one would make me one, I love boat flake finishes!
