Mine is sonic/diamond blue :)

Needed a passive P-ish tone. for a particular gig. I was inspired by the positive reviews here.

I've always been a big fan of Musicman quality, but the humbucker thing is not for me. And they are usually way too heavy.

My mini-review really only echoes what others have said, but I thought I'd try and chime in FWIW.

What I like about this bass:

* Boutique quality
* Looks cool
* Light weight (8 lbs 3 oz)
* Comfy, slim neck and smallish body that sits well

I do like the sound, but it's taking some getting used to. It's not quite a P and not quite J. And not really like a Fender P+J, IMO. I have been playing it with both pickups wide open and the tone all the way up. I'm also not used to passive, so I'm getting sorted on that again. I figure you kinda have to be open to it being derivative in its tone, but also its own thing.

It has a tiny amount of neck dive, but not an real issue at all. For me anyway.

Bottom line: if this looks like your thing, don't hesitate....it rocks!

p.s. it was my pleasure to do business with the Bass Shop in Seattle....always enjoyed dealing with Chad et al. Bass San Diego are my hometown homies, but they don't carry Musicman.

Saw my local had gotten a couple of these and the Cutlass in. Looked up reviews on here (not worth the gas no matter how cool if TBassers aren't diggin it in general), dug what I read. Because it was bout the first really nice day this year, hopped in the truck and went to check them out. I was skeptical. Buy a P, J, P/J, G&L SB, if ya wanna spend the money on or want that MM sound, get a Stingray. In bout 5 minutes, all skepticism was gone. Tone was unbelievable, but the neck...WOW. Have a nice collection of G&L/Fenders/Warwicks a Stingray and Pedulla Rapture (had partook of some "libations" a few months back and I traded my beat down Euro Spector for). This neck played as smooth as my '05 Limited Edition Stingray and blew the SB out the water, I came home, got the Pedulla, grabbed what cash I had, and am now proud owner of a new Caprice. KILLER TONE and KILLER NECK! Worth every cent!
